Please tell me if you believe this and why or why not. ThanksAll I keep hearing is that McCain is another Bush and we can expect the state of our nation to remain the same?
I don't believe that personally, but to be honest with you you're really not going to get any clear honest answers on here, only opinions. For some reason people tend to allow their emotions to take over, and they just rant and talk about how angry they are.
The only way you'll find anything out is to research it yourself. I posted the websites below in the sources for you so you can compare which ones you like the best for yourself..All I keep hearing is that McCain is another Bush and we can expect the state of our nation to remain the same?
As Democrat in 2000 I admired the way McCain stood up to Bush, Karl Rove and the religious right in 2000 primary.
Jump ahead to 2004 McCain supported Bush for reelection and supported the Bush Cheney polices.
2008 McCain has moved to far right of the GOP, embraces the religious right and their support. The sleaze of GOP politics Karl Rove is working the background pulling the strings of McCain.
McCain is just retread version of Bush except older and fatter.
I do not. McCain is not another Bush.
Unlike Bush, John McCain tried to help America.
McCain saw the fiscal meltdown coming two years ago and tried to do something about it by cosponsoring S.190.
The bill was shot down by members of Congress who were influenced by Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac lobbyists and the Black Congessional Caucaus. You know Obama's friends.
McCain:
';I join as a cosponsor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190, to underscore my support for quick passage of GSE regulatory reform legislation. If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole.
I urge my colleagues to support swift action on this GSE reform legislation.';

The Congressional Record.
McCain supported Bush's reelection
';On May 9, after holding out for two months, McCain formally endorsed Bush';
';McCain supported the Iraq War, but criticized The Pentagon several times, especially about low troop strength...McCain supported the 2007 surge of more than 20,000 troops, which supporters say has increased security in Iraq';
These are some primary reasons...valid in my mind...for people to believe that he will do things that the Bush Administration was known for
NO%26lt; McCain is nothing like BUSH! He is Against EARMARKS that Bush spent TRILLIONS ON! Obama helped spend that too- like Bush!
McCain wanted the SURGE years ago- Bush ignored him.
McCain wanted to Regulate Fannie %26amp; Freddie in 2005 Bush ignored him.
Obama was against the SURGE that is the reason we are winning now.
Obama did not lift a FINGER to regulate Fannie and Freddie even hired big wigs from those corps and took money from them for his campaign!
So if McCain was pres. now we would be doing GREAT!
If Obama was pres now , we would be WORSE OFF as now!
1.) he voted in support of bush over 95% of the time.
2.) just this last year it was 100% of the time
3.) his policy positions are exactly the same, (both foreign and domestic) (you can verify this and his voting record at http://vote-smart.org )
4) he has said it himself. (watch http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=鈥?/a> )
McCain is different than Bush, but McCain's support comes from people who like and support Bush.
The Republican establishment is 100% Bushies and they will be running the show, not McCain.
Looking into my crystal ball, ';the same'; looks mighty good compared to what will happen if our favorite community organizer gets to carry the football.
