If McCain can't secure the border of his state how can he protect the nation?

so far all he is good at is hiding behind Palin and her family, to keep the heat off him. that is the same reason his party is so happy with Palin, she now gives them what McCain never could. by their reaction they would be happier with Palin/McCain since she adds fire to a dead ticket. If McCain can't secure the border of his state how can he protect the nation?
That's not his job.If McCain can't secure the border of his state how can he protect the nation?
McCain's views on immigration are actually rather progressive (as are Bush's), but got him in trouble early in his campaign (he had to fly coach for a while!!)

But, since he has not incensed the right wing with this lately, all is forgiven.

This is a no-win subject for the R's. If McCain talks about it, they gain some indies and Latino voters, but repel much of their hard-core base.

So, thanks for raising the subject.
My opinion is neither candidate is very good at anything :/ Barack has no plan what so ever about ';change';, and John McCain is well you said it.
That would be the democratic governors responsibility.
