The peasants want to own Land Sire ---- they see it as freedom to produce untaxed foods for their own designs of trade and consumption If the peasants are allowed to return to self sufficiency their numbers will dictate our over throw





Lets simply therefore tell them they own the land while imposing a tax upon them for our services to them --- we will rent them the land and make them pay for its use while calling this ownership --- If there is the perception of owning land there will be nothing for them to rebel against





They remain our dependents Sire ---- we simply tell them what they want to hear and then do the opposite -- They won't know the difference trust me Sire

Of course the peasants want to read and demand we teach them in schools You're Highness but this too can be made to our advantage I propose we do teach them and be seen giving in to their demands -- be apologetic about the matter reach out to the masses





We will simply teach them enough to serve us better and drown them with useless tasks and entertaining tib bits of no importance Soon learning and reading amongst the peasants will be completely measured by how useful they are to us





Do not worry yourself of these demands to be taught to read --- they wish to become better servants to us --- I say let them

They will constantly owe us something just for the luxury of using that which is ours --- the money and the right to print it ----





We will be their bankers and buy their government and avoid the need for war Sire Simply remove my title and allow me to walk invisibly through the masses -- If we buy the government the people come with it --- we become their bankers they will owe us for simple privilege -- A slight of hand a willing partner is all we need ---The trick is difficult but only needs doing once --- We shall conjure us a bank which loans to their government the use of all money in that nation Sire





The peasants won't notice or care so long as they have some of it left in their grubby little paws for their wine women and song -- Bread and circuses will keep them from notice and we will have them read better as to how to serve us
