Why is globalization the end of 'nation state'?

Any one got any interesting ideas? Why is globalization the end of 'nation state'?
Globalization can eliminate the existence of nation state because if people will unite for trade and economy the different government of nations could be disregarded and there will be only one world government to regulate the activities of the people. Why is globalization the end of 'nation state'?
Greetings!

Globalization is not an entity. It was a political phrase to concoct an excuse as to why we were loosing American jobs. It first came to light during the WTO convention in Washington (the state)

Pretty much the political parties sold out the people of this country to amass lare sums of money from mega businesses.

They for example deleted buy American clauses in tax payer funded programs. They set out and are at about 80% broken every union in this country which helped to keep wages liveable.

They changed the way the report economic figures. They forecast large wages, but family style which also estimates the kids paper route. and so on.

With the use of one word and having dumbed down education in America, they have this little stay out of jail free card called '; Globalization';

If their really existed such an animal, for starters, why would we need Homeland Security?

Why the fuss with Iraq,Iran,Venuzela, etc, etc, etc.

So now you might suggest this is the end of a ';Nation State';, when in reaility it does not exist.

The real end will come in this country for the same reasons it did in other countries and civilizations before us. Hunger, poverty, greed, ignorance.

The weapons are social distractions and material items which make us feel wealth and affluent.

For example try to go the day without your ipod, or cell phone. Get a taste of how the whole affair is taking our attention away from preserving our very way of life, which made these things available in the first place.

Remember most of all ';ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country'; (Marcus Aurellis)

Good Luck

Good Question
Economically speaking, globalization is the end of the nation-state. I think nation-state is more of a political term. If economics drives politics then this is a valid argument to make.

The EU is an example, they are using their unified economy to try to create one constitution, which will lead to one single foreign policy.

NAFTA is currently a counter-example. Mexico, Canada and the United States are very different politically even though the trade barriers are slowly coming down.

So no end to the nation-states in North America anytime soon!!!
