Although, on July 4th 1946, when independence was given, there is reference to a rather lengthy speech at the Ceremonies of Independence. I suppose it could contain some ';State of the Union'; comments, but, so far, have been unable to find a copy of the speech. And I thank you for putting me onto a very interesting man, of whom I knew little.
